MUBI.com is a video on demand service for great films that are not necessarily the most popular. Some are free and you can subscribe, as I do.
TED.com has short video talks on lots of interesting subjects. I've learned lots of fascinating things there.
Radiolab is my all time favourite radio show. Each episode has a theme which is explored through all sorts of bizarre and amazing anecdotes. Available for streaming or as podcast.
